Ponchartrain Vineyards Guests are welcome to visit the winery, tasting room, visitors center and vineyards which are located 10 miles from the UCM. Not really in Abita Springs, but near enough. These are friends of ours who (in their words) provide distinctive regional wines to complement the extraordinary cuisine of Louisiana. Their wines are available at many local markets and make great souvenirs to bring home to your friends. The road from the UCM to the winery is a good looking drive. Tell them hello for me.
